Visit Calakmul is a community and multicultural alternative tourism network made up of small businesses from towns in the municipality of Calakmul.

Our mission is to promote sustainable community development through the enjoyment and conservation of the natural and cultural heritage of the Mayan jungle and the towns of Calakmul.

The initiative was born in 2014, inspired by the organization and work model of the Commonwealths of the Sierra Norte de Oaxaca and promoted by Pronatura Península de Yucatán A.C. with support from key partners: WK Kellogg Foundation, WWF-Carlos Slim Foundation Alliance, ADO Foundation, Global Environment Facility Small Grants Program.

With your visit you contribute to the integral well-being of Calakmul through alternative community tourism, since you promote economic activity while promoting the conservation of the ecosystem and culture.
